Whiteboarding can leave a lasting impact

Nothing grabs attention quite like a good drawing on a whiteboard.

I heard a story from the CEO of a design firm. He had a meeting at a client's location and one of his methods for keeping everyone engaged was drawing on a whiteboard. He sketched out an idea that he would later develop with his team. Two weeks later he heads back to present his design proposal and his drawing was still there. His client liked it so much they couldn't bear to erase it. No doubt other people saw it and asked who drew it.

Whiteboarding, when done well, commands a room, creates inclusivity and opens channels for communication. And just like receiving a fancy box with anything inside, people will want to hang on to it because it's just too cool to get rid of.
