The search for more

A wide open field with no disruption in sight can feel more appealing than the shelter you're in where needs are met.

It reminds me of the story (from the movie Soul, 2020) about a young fish. He swims up to an old fish and says, "I'm looking for the ocean. The notorious Great Pacific."

The old fish says, "You found it, this is the ocean."

The young fish says, "This? This can't be the ocean. This is water."

Of course, the destination is never the true meaning for what we're after. The journey famously is, but that's the annoying part because it's littered with disruption. But perhaps the biggest disruptors for understanding our meaning are the ones inside our head.
