Participation

A mentor can help you learn to draw, use software, present and think critically.

But there are daily decisions you make where mentors can only extend so much help with: persistence and attitude.

To believe that you are capable of problem solving takes optimism.

To be empathetic not just to users, but to peers.

To show curiosity over fear when facing the unknown.

No one can force you to be optimistic, empathetic or curious.

You don't need to be a genius to achieve great design. It's the choice to participate through attitude, learning and in doing the work.
