Orchestrating a juggling act

A designer juggles 5,000 things per project.

User experiences, human factors, engineering, manufacturing, stakeholders, market trends, market niches, and touchpoints in-between all go into designing a blender.

Do the buttons have a satisfying thunk? The handle should to have the appropriate form based on anthropomorphic data. Consider a tradeoff between motor power and counterspace or weight. Will this aesthetic match users' homes? Our appliance isn't only for the dexterous, it needs to be beginner-friendly.

Everything considered, it's even less about the sum of these parts and more about the harmonious blend in juggling them.
