Everyday icons

The tools we use influence how we experience the world. Habits revolve around what is available— this has been true since early human ancestors discovered that rocks with a sharp edge could be wielded for hunting.

Good products offer practical support to our daily routines. A weighted mug molded with a large handle to fit your fingers comfortably isn't as noticeable as the coffee you're desperate for in the morning. An ergonomic computer mouse that doesn’t give you carpel tunnel is otherwise unobserved. An extra smooth ballpoint pen keeps up with your thoughts, uninterrupted.

Intuitively functional, quietly aesthetic. The most impactful innovations go unnoticed because they are near-extensions of ourselves and our culture.
