Additive manufacturing (3D printing) from home

Something small and made from plastic or metal could be put it in a 3D scanner or find a reference image could be found for Ai to scan. An identical part or a missing piece could be created without needing many technical skills. If people could have access to smart 3D printing, product models could be crowdsourced.

When we made tools more accessible, we give more power to people. The technology will only get more inclusive. Many enthusiasts have desktop 3D printers. With the rise of artificial intelligence the need for technical knowledge of CAD may become old school.
